| Bio: | Name: Banru What world they came from: (Original character) The Between, the place that exists, or doesn't, between all worlds. Birthday: Unknown Age: Unknown, probably in the hundreds of thousands of years. It's very hard to judge, with the shifts in time flow between worlds. He doesn't look a day older than 25. Species: There isn't really a word that can describe what Banru is. The closest would be a creature created from magical energy. Occupation: Banru was a Servant, a creature created from patched together souls and magical energy by Dorjin. More on that below. Appearance: Banru is tall, very tall. He stands at roughly seven feet tall. Despite this, he is skinny, and unnaturally pale, with dark shadows under his eyes giving him the look of someone who has been ill for a long time. Across his body, there appears to be a patchwork of small, almost invisible scars, not noticeable unless you're really looking. He has jet black hair, down to his shoulders and always slightly messy, and strikingly feral yellow eyes. Adding to this wild image are his teeth, which are sharp, like a predator's. Since he's lived so long and seen so many different fashions, he'll wear just about anything he feels like wearing. Special abilities/talents: His strength and agility are only slightly better than the average man's. Where he really excels is magic. He can preform simple spells instantly, but the more complex ones require him to draw out complex symbols in the air, and pay with his energy, so it may be a while before they take effect. His magical abilities have been cut somewhat by being separated from Dorjin, the Watcher who created him, so he's not quite at full power. He is also what could be considered immortal, in that he can't die from old age, but if enough of his essence is damaged, he will die. Quirks: He doesn't need to eat, drink, or sleep (though he will pass out if he's too weak or damaged), but he does need to absorb living energy from his surroundings, and anyone sticking around him too long when he's hungry will likely find themselves feeling drained and tired. His speech patterns are also a little odd. When he's calm, he will speak casually, like a young man from modern day Earth, but when he's upset his speech becomes more tight, intelligent, and old fashioned, and may be peppered with slips into his native language. Personality: Banru's number one concern is himself, and his own best interests. He is very intelligent, and has a tendency to see right through people who would try to use him for their own benefit, though he keeps any assumptions or first impressions he may have to himself until he has further proof. He will present a cheerful, even kind face to the world, though this is far from his true nature. The only time he allows this facade to crack is when he likes or respects someone. This can be a bit confusing to those close to him, because the only way you can truly tell if Banru thinks you're worth his time is if he speaks his mind around you, and doesn't hold anything back for the sake of his fake persona. Though it takes a lot to get Banru angry because he's fairly laid back, once you have stoked his temper you get to see the more feral, chaotic side of him. Internally, Banru is not even sure of his true personality, which isn't surprising given the fact that much of his original soul is gone, replaced with shards from other people. The only thing he is sure of is his yearning to be mortal again. This clashes with his great fear of death. Reputation: Banru was notorious in many worlds as a bringer of destruction and chaos, killing many mortals and destroying entire civilizations.
